WHAT IS FORMAL RECRUITMENT?
As a member of the University's Panhellenic system, Alpha Delta Pi participates in formal recruitment each year. In order to participate you must register through Panhellenic. It will be the best thing you ever do!

LETTER TO PNM'S
Hello to all the potential new members going through sorority recruitment at Sam Houston State University next week! My name is Megan, I am the Formal Recruitment Chair for Alpha Delta Pi. In this role, I lead a group of 65 amazing women through one of the most important events we host every year – the opportunity to welcome new sisters to this chapter. I don’t take this responsibility lightly and it’s a true honor to have this role. Before we meet each of you I wanted to say a few things – first of all – WELCOME! The fact that you’ve even signed up for this experience shows that you’re brave and resilient and nothing will get in your way of finding your new home! At Alpha Delta Pi we know this year has been anything but “normal” .. Many of you didn’t get a traditional prom, graduation, you had to cancel trips, miss out on life events like weddings, baby showers, spending time with your families and loved ones. In some way or another, big or small, we’ve all been affected by the global pandemic. My hope is that it’s made us appreciate the truly important things in life – each other. As you embark on this new journey through Greek life, keep that in mind. At the end of the day, you want to spend your time with the people you love the most. The people you will create lasting memories with; women who will become your best friends and bridesmaids someday. Find a place where you’re most comfortable, where you can be yourself, where you can see yourself bonding with the other women in the chapter. For me, I found that place at Alpha Delta Pi. The sisters in this chapter build me up, every day. They make me better. They challenge me when it’s deserved, they root for me, they support me and encourage me to go after my dreams. We don’t strive for perfection, but purpose. We are genuine, diverse and our bond is unmatched. I hope you find the sisterhood that I’ve found in Alpha Delta Pi. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions, concerns, worries, reservations. We want this process to be a FUN and POSITIVE experience. I can’t wait to meet all of you – best of luck finding your forever home! GO GREEK. GO ADPI.
